Sri Lankan designer Raffealla Fernando made her mark at the London fashion week 2016 by house of ikons done in tribute of the music legend Prince.
London fashion week – house of ikons took place on the 17th of September at the millennium hotel Mayfair London, marking an important dateline for many designers who have flown across from all around the world.
Raffealla Fernando is the only designer who represented Sri Lanka and the first time a Sri Lankan had showcased at the London fashion week house of ikons and she managed to make Sri Lanka proud by showcasing at the evening – Main fashion show with great comments , feedback and by getting highlighted among the press and media in the Uk.
The London fashion week by house of ikons was dedicated to the great music legend Prince. Also TV channels like Britrox tv, sky TV will air the show to 400 million viewers worldwide over 76 countries.
The event also celebrated the 40th anniversary in support of the prince’s trust, the charity of his royal highness prince Charles.
Raffealla is a locally established brand working globally making her wings wide and wider day by day. She is successfully working in the industry for last 10 years now. Raffealla has worked with more than 60+ local celebrities and also worked in countries such as Paris, Milan, Maldives, India and London. She is an established designer, celebrity photographer, fashion stylist and a senior fashion lecturer.
Her collection was inspired by the witch hunters and warrior princesses; it is a dark, feminine, seductive yet a masculine structured collection she says she wanted to bring out the strong and fearless man in every woman while keeping her feminine and beautiful structure highlighted.
